STODDARD RESERVOIR FISHING REGULATIONS
Covid 19 Guidelines
The Simsbury Fish & Game Club operates in accordance with CDC and State of Connecticut Covid-19 Guidelines. The health and safety of our members is our top priority.
Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines (10ft).
Respect other MEMBERS personal space when moving about the property.
Bring a pen, gloves and personal sanitizer to use during your time at the club.
The Club is to be governed by the Fish & Game Laws of the State of Connecticut except as specified below:
No parking allowed on Mountain Road or Shingle Mill Road – Please use the parking area provided.
To purchase a SF&GC Stoddard Reservoir Fishing Permit you must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years old.
An adult Permit Holder must supervise all children and/or guests at all times. A Permit Holder shall not bring more than two (2) children. Permit Holders are not limited to the number of guests they may bring during the season.
Guests must share the Permit Holder’s creel limit. No guests are permitted on the morning after a stocking day until after 12 noon.
No fishing is permitted on the afternoon of a stocking day and until after conclusion of the Annual Children’s Fishing Derby.
The creel limit is four (4) fish per day and twelve fish (12) per week. A week begins 12:01 AM Saturday and ends 12:00 Midnight the following Friday.
Uninjured fish may be released, however, a Permit Holder who chooses to catch-and- release fish may do so only until he/she kills their first fish. From that time on for that day, they may not release additional fish.
No boats, rafts or floating contrivances allowed.
The use of corn or minnows (preserved or alive) is strictly prohibited.
Discarding of paper, cans, bottles or any other trash is not allowed.
It is the duty of all Permit Holders to enforce these rules.
Permit Holders fishing shall not disturb area neighbors.
No lure shall have more than one (1) single treble hook.
No fisherman shall use more than one (1) line at a time.
Permit Holder must wear Permit separate from license on hat or coat clearly visible.
All Permit Holders are expected to practice good sportsmanship.
OUR FISHING IS A PRIVILEGE TO BE PRESERVED. ANY INFRACTION OF THESE RULES WILL BE DEALT WITH STERNLY AND MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF PERMIT.
All above reference to “Permit Holder” includes Permit Holder and all guests as one.
ICE FISHING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Members bringing dogs/pets to the Stoddard Reservoir while fishing must maintain control of the pet on a leash at all times.
