About Us
Founded in 1937, the Simsbury Fish & Game Club is one of the oldest continually operated sporting clubs in the Farmington Valley.
Over its long history, the SF&G has developed into one of the premier trout fishing clubs in the State of Connecticut. The club maintains Stoddard Reservoir - a beautiful two acre pond located on West Mountain Road in West Simsbury, Connecticut. The pond is stocked multiple times throughout the season with large rainbow and brook trout - ensuring that all members have many successful fishing outings.
The club is also committed to offering children and young adults the opportunity to experience the fun of fishing. Each year the club holds a Children’s Fishing Derby in which prizes and trophies are awarded to participants. It is the club’s hope that these activities will foster a life-long interest in fishing and the outdoors. The club has many experienced anglers who are happy to share their knowledge with those who are newer to the sport.
Wildlife is on full display at the club, with many birds and animals stopping by to enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
